Weight of the World... Updated* 1-30-13

Is on our shoulders! We are so looking forward to having our own home one day. Today, we saw a house that we pray is that home. It is so hard to make such a big decision. It is so scary to take that step. Please pray for us to make the right decisions and that if this is the house... that we are able to get it and start that new adventure with as little red tape as possible.

Thanks and I hope that you are all having a great week!

*Update - We will be submitting our offer on the house tomorrow... Scared, excited, my stomach is in knots!

Weightloss update... and other odds and ends

Well, it has not been the easiest blogging these days. I am still trying to get used to living in someone else's house, adjusting to eating, and of course still teaching like my personal life hasn't been turned upside down. I feel like I am doing an ok job juggling, but blogging has taken the back burner.

I have been weighing on Sundays, which seems to be working best for me. As of this past Sunday, I have lost a whopping 56 lbs. It is almost unfathomable to me. I broke down on Thursday and bought 2 new pairs of pants for work and they were 2 sizes smaller!!! My old ones were just too big. I even bought those bands that are supposed to help, and they were just too baggy.  I start Zumba after work on Tuesdays and Thursdays tomorrow. I am super excited about that! I am also going to try to get to the gym 2 other times during the week if possible.

I started a Blogger Bible study last week. We are reading the book of Matthew. As much as I have learned or heard the scriptures from Matthew, it is really interesting to just read it and all the study notes. I am also learning much more from the other ladies in the group!

I have been trying out pinterest recipes and they have all been great so far! Loving it, easy and healthy are the main criteria I have been looking for :)

Oh yeah, my Andaddy is doing much better! THANK YOU LORD, and all those who prayed for him!

Prayers Please!

I was planning to write a post today about the new year and blah blah blah... But, it just doesn't seem right after my mom called this morning to tell me that my dear 95 year old grandfather was rushed to the hospital last night around 1 am. He has pneumonia and the flu... the strain that the 2 flu shots he has had don't help. He has been in and out of the hospital in the past couple of months with blood pressure problems.

I previously wrote about how my grandparents were in adjoining buildings at the old folks community where they live. He was in assisted living and my Mimi was on the floor for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. Well, my Andaddy had been living at home until around October. My dad finally convinced him that he should move in to the assisted living so he would be able to go visit Mimi whenever he wanted. It's so crazy how he has deteriorated since moving in there. He spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the hospital and a few days later my mom, dad, and hubby moved him into a room with my Mimi.

Now the floor that they are on is on lockdown, no visitors until all the people get tamaflu (sp) as well as all the workers. My Andaddy is in ICU with my dad staying with him. With the report that the next 24 hours are very critical. I am just at a loss.  Have you ever seen the movie The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks? I have always thought of my dear Mimi and Andaddy when watching that movie, ever since my Mimi started having memory issues. They are finally together and now there is chance that they wont be. Please, please pray for him to get better.

I know God has perfect timing... but I am just not really ready to lose my Andaddy! My dad is an only child, so prayers for him would be appreciated too. He is so strong, but has had a whole lot on him in recent months dealing with the logistics of Mimi and Andaddy.
